About GCB Strategies
After working in international community organizing and the Federal government, it became very clear that too many innovative ideas percolate in the non-profit world but without the funding for resources, most often, they go largely unexplored. I work with organizations to strategically further their individual missions and bring to fruition those wonderfully innovative ideas through specific, project-based work.
I also noticed that the foreign-born communities in which I did my outreach work were often intimidated by the American political process and sometimes simply weren't sure how to engage with it or believed that it wouldn't matter if they did. I help these unique communities understand and connect to the government which makes decisions on their behalf but statistically does not represent them in ratio to the rest of the population.
My goal with GCB Strategies is to offer my services to non-profits on a project by project basis; from database clean-up or creation to event planning or community outreach projects that require regular stewarding. Additionally, GCB Strategies will work with foreign-born communities to help them speak to and connect with power, set strategic goals, and eventually help them to run candidates in local elections.

Who I AmI am an ordinary woman who has had some extraordinary experiences and visited some amazing places. At each stop along my path, I have learned from the people I encounter, but I realize that one of the most intriguing and amazing places that I have ever been is right here...Pure Michigan...suburbs and "up north"...cars and music...urban farms and entrepreneurial incubators...sports teams and culinary stars...billionaires and social workers...all anchored by the City of Detroit, with all of its strengths and weaknesses.
